His Embrace

"Wherever you are spiritually, whatever you have been through emotionally, you are already wrapped in the Lord's embrace. Held close by nail-scarred hands."

~Liz Curtis Higgs~

I love this quote because it's in two tenses - present and past. Right now and just then...wherever and whatever, I am already wrapped in His embrace. Just the thought makes me want to curl up with a blanket and lay my head on Him. I can trust that whether I sit in the calm or in the eye of the storm, He wraps His hands tightly around me and doesn't let me go.

Matt Redman - You Never Let Go; Passion 2006 Album and Matt's new album

Chorus:

Oh no, You never let go

Through the calm and through the storm

Oh no, You never let go

In every high and every low

Oh no, You never let go

Lord, You never let go of me

Lord, thank you that you never let go of us. We are never not in your sight and never so far out of reach from your hand. Thank you that you call us your children and we have the freedom to come and sit with you any time we want. Cover us in you.

Every where I go today, I am reminded of songs I love! This is one of my most favorite praise and worship songs- The words are so powerful!

You are right, He NEVER lets go!

Sometimes it's hard to remember it is not about us, but about Him. What a great reminder for us all. There are so many ways to look at something, but when it comes right down to it, His view is the most important.

The words of the chorus are just awesome :) "Oh no, You never let go - through the calm and through the storm" - how awesome is that...I love to curl up with Him and have Him embrace me :)...
Thank you for your thoughts on this week's IOW quote and I am glad that you made it alive through the holidays.
Blessings on your evening and always...
