It's Party Time!

GIRLS!!! It's PARTY TIME!!!

For the next week, the Ultimate Blog Party is the place to be!
Welcome to my blog, it's nice to meet you. I want to know all about you, but first let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I am currently a pastor's wife working mom. My husband and I have been married for 6 years this July and we have one little boy, who I affectionately call Boo. He will be 3 in April. My husband is the Young Adults and Discipleship pastor at our church in Duluth, Georgia. We have been here for just under two years. The Lord made the decision for me to return to work in January of 2006, so I have been working as the Assistant to a Landscape company since then. Our little one attends a church preschool and absolutely loves it. It was not my intentions to return to work, but the Lord changed my heart and made it all happen and that's okay with me. I serve a loving, wonderful, awesome, just, kind, and righteous God, who never gives His glory to another (Isaiah 42:8). Amen to that.
Jeremy is my gift on earth. He is all that encompasses a man who follows God's heart and I adore that about him. He is kind, compassionate and caring, and makes me smile often. I am blessed to be his wife.
I love LOTS of things, but nothing more than Jesus. I like to scrapbook, although I don't do it often enough...I am sure I am not the only one who feels that way! :) I like to read. I love writing and hope to write a book one day. I love telling others about Jesus. I feel there is nothing greater than sharing your life, and what the Lord has done in it, with other people. I want the light of His love to shine through me so brightly that you can't even see Karen, only Him.
Some other things: I like cooking. I like Mexican food. I have curly hair, but can wear it straight. My family doesn't call me by my name, most times, only by my nickname, and you know what...I love it! :) I have some crazy girlfriends who I dearly love and am challenged by daily. I like music, although I don't sing very well. We were created to worship! I enjoy being a pastor's wife and feel that among the things God has called me to do, He has challenged me most with that responsibility.

I hope that you have gotten a chance to know me better and I can't wait to talk to each of you...I am the outgoing one at the party, the one who can't stand to leave early if she hasn't spoken to everyone, so I must leave you now. Help yourself to some sweet tea and sandwiches. Coffee is brewing and I am excited you have joined us. Enjoy the picture as you mingle...

Toodles-
Karen

I love to scrapbook, too, but I just can't find the time. I did really well with my first daughter. Now with the second, I'm lucky if I can get the pictured developed!

Just wanted to stop by your party and say Hi. It was great reading through some of your posts. I'll be back again during the week.

If you get a chance, come on over and check out my daily book giveaway.

Aloha!

Hey Karen,

Nice to virtually meet you :) I love how you say that you weren't planning on going back to work, but God called you to do so and you're ok with that. That is truly awesome!

How nice to meet you and your darling family!! I'm a pastor's wife too!! My DH just went full time coaching and consulting churches...kind of a new role for me. We have four boys and I LOVE Scrapbooking!! I've worked since my older two were in preK.

I hope you'll stop by for a visit. I hope to get back around soon. I sure would love to see a Pastor's Wives blogroll. It's a unique ministry for sure.

Blessings to you.

Hi Karen, just stopping by for the party. The party was such a great idea because I get to meet people like you, whom I have so much in common with but would never have met otherwise. I hope you'll stop by and say hi sometime!

Take care and happy blogging this week!

Hello from a fellow working mom who knows that her employment is God-led. I'm okay with it too, but occasionally I really want to just stay home because time is flying by so quickly.

I'm delighted to have made your aquaintance and thanks for the invite into your life.

Hello, nice to meet you. I was here before maybe from a comment you left on LPM? Anyway, I had a chuckle about your family not calling you by name. Our family does the same with everyone, we all have nicknames!

I am slowly getting around to some of the blog parties. It's nice to meet you! You have a lovely family! I love Mexican food! We lived in GA for a time, in Douglasville, near Atlanta. But that was 8 1/2 years ago.

Since my blog party post is no longer on my first page and my host won't allow a "sticky post," I'll post the link to my blog party here. Hope you can stop by!
