In Other Words

"What makes life on this frightful sod so exquisite is God's merciful propensity to perform divine tasks amid deeply flawed people."
We are all flawed. There lies within each of us a deep longing to change some aspect of our life. Whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, we want change! I want change!
I love what Beth says here, because we truly are deeply flawed people without the Lord Jesus. He takes what is impure and imperfect and makes it clean and holy. Only HE can do such things! I believe there are things in life that are absolutely of most importance, and one of them is seeing and believing what God has done in the lives of His people. I have seen God do some pretty awesome stuff in my own life, like taking me out of a pit and moving me to a place of better influence. At one time, I was on a road of destruction...I was good at looking like I had it all together, but inside, I was hurting. God raised me up out of that pit and I have never looked back. He is still in the work of performing miracles in the lives of people...I would love to hear the things He has done in your life.

This is true of so many of us. That is why we forget that every person around us is deeply flawed--because we try so hard to look good. Thank you for sharing this week.

Oh he rose me out of my pit also, and I think because I am struggling with sometings, he had this quote hit me over the head. Like he is saying, "I know you are not perfect, but watch out I can still use you!" Oh praise God.

Thank you for participating.

Clean and holy through Christ alone. That is so beautiful! It takes the pressure off of us to try and try to be holy ourselves. That's good medicine for this sleep-deprived mom!!

I wanted to post on this quote too, I love it, but didn't quite find the time...

:)

I linked over from the Preacher's Wife blog! I enjoyed your post. God has delievered me from pits and cancer, divorce, financial messes. He is an amazing God. I talk alot about my cancer but I can honestly say, God healed my broken heart from divorce and delivered me from hating my ex-husband. I can say, thanks to God, I don't hate him, I pray for him and his new wife and trust me when I say thins, IT's ALL God.

Have a blessed weekend.
